Orlando Riddick

Mr. Orlando Riddick began his tenure at Midland ISD on July 1, 2017. Previously he served as the Superintendent of Cedar Hill for three years and prior to that spent two years in central office administration for Houston ISD as Chief of High Schools, a district with over 210,000 students. Superintendent Riddick has embarked on a "Listen, Learn and Lead," engagement strategy, and his entire focus is centered on leading dynamic change for Midland ISD, which has already begun to yield academic progress.
Mr. Riddick graduated with a Bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1992, where he also received his commission into the U.S. Army. He completed a post-baccalaureate degree in English literature in 1997 from UT El Paso. In 2004, he earned his Master's degree in educational administration from Texas Woman's University.
