Mike Fee has spent his career in education, starting as a classroom teacher at a rural Arkansas high school, where he also served as de facto college counselor. Later, he filled roles recruiting and mentoring teachers. Mike also founded Lango, a multi-site company that teaches new languages to kids. Prior to Spotlight, Mike served as EVP at ed tech company EverFi. Mike earned his BA and MBA degrees from Stanford ('91, '99). As Chief Growth Officer, Mike spearheads Spotlight's externally-facing efforts, with responsibilities ranging from recruiting new districts into its college and career readiness network, to conducting focus groups with non-English speaking parents. Spotlight serves several of the nation's largest districts and state agencies, and partners with leading companies to make their data more accessible, understandable, and actionable. Mike and his wife Karen are parents to three children, including a college student, and a high school senior and a freshman.
