What Works Where, and Why?: The EdTech Genome Project, Part I

Context matters in K-12 EdTech implementation, a $13BN market where up to 85% of purchased tools are either under-implemented or poor fits for the context. Which variables in a particular context matter most when it comes to implementing successfully and sustaining that implementation? How can understanding these variables lead to more robust decision-making, simpler procurement — and healthy sales for companies? To help answer these questions, the Jefferson Education Exchange and the University of Virginia launched the EdTech Genome Project. Dozens of researchers, practitioners, system leaders, and industry experts are coalescing this year around a common language, measurement instruments, and a framework to push us all as an ecosystem to optimize product-market fit that will drive outcomes. Come hear the latest insights from this sector-wide initiative, and bring your questions about the future of edtech purchasing and implementation.
