The Evolving Edtech Marketplace: Designing and Signaling for Learner Variability

The marketplace for edtech is transforming in parallel with the changing demographics of today’s schools. There are more students of color, more students learning the English language, more students with learning differences, and more children living with trauma and adverse experiences. Learner variability is the norm, not the exception. Schools are under increasing pressure to support this growing diversity and to raise levels of achievement in academics, while balancing the social/emotional needs of all students. Schools and districts are turning to technology to help solve these challenges, but are finding it hard to understand and navigate the market. This panel will explore and discuss how the market is changing across demand, market signals, and new opportunities to incentivize and design solutions for these challenges.
