In alignment with our Utah Portrait of a Graduate (https://www.schools.utah.gov/portraitgraduate) the state is creating a system to move toward the use of experiential data sets to compliment the operational data sets that have traditionally defined school measures.

Rocket Manufacturing is a fully-functional, profitable, student-run business run right within the walls of Rock Valley Community Schools, engaging students in every aspect of the manufacturing business during their school day. Through collaboration with community business leaders and instructors in ag, industrial technology, business, and even art, our students learn all elements of employability from concept to delivery.

Guided by a school district vision to develop happy kids, in healthy relationships on a path to gainful employment, the Cajon Valley Union School District board advanced a strategic initiative to integrate a career development framework, across the school ecosystem, for every child in every grade starting in kindergarten. This initiative, led by teachers, and integrated in classrooms, is an effort to prepare every child for the future world of work.
