It's Vanessa Castañeda Gill's mission to unite her passions for art, science, and stories in innovative ways that help people. Learning from her experiences as a neuroscience researcher and autistic advocate, she founded Social Cipher: a social enterprise that uses video games to drive neurodiverse inclusion and self-advocacy for autistic youth. Her fantastic team of designers, developers, and gaming geeks is currently developing their premier game, Ava: an RPG platformer about an autistic protagonist who ventures into a world of feuding space pirates, exploring a vast fantasy universe, but also the closeness of human connection and emotion. Vanessa's been recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30, a fellow by Camelback Ventures and the Halcyon Incubator, and was recently named a Facebook Global Gaming Citizen.
