Roxanne Petraeus
CEO
ETHENA
Roxanne Petraeus, CEO of Ethena, is a Harvard and Oxford-educated Rhodes Scholar, U.S. Army combat veteran, McKinsey alum, and second-time founder.
Upon graduating from college, Roxanne was commissioned into the U.S. Army, deployed to Afghanistan, and later transitioned to Special Operations--Civil Affairs, where she focused on foreign military training in Asia. During her time in uniform, she was selected as a Rhodes Scholar.
Roxanne left the army to co-found a meal-delivery startup that partnered with local chefs who focused on nutritious offerings. After scaling to multiple markets, Roxanne sold the company.
After the sale, she joined McKinsey as a consultant, where she focused on transformations and organizational design.
Drawing upon her experience with training and organizational culture-change, Roxanne departed McKinsey to co-found Ethena, where she saw an opportunity to transform sexual harassment training from a "check the box" exercise into a meaningful experience.
