Rebecca is the Founder and CEO of Merit America, a startup nonprofit preparing low-wage workers for skilled careers at scale, backed by Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, Schmidt Futures, Google.org, Walmart Foundation and more.
Rebecca has spent the past decade focusing on education-for-employment across the public, private and social sectors. Prior to founding Merit America in 2017, Rebecca built and led Coursera's Government & Nonprofit team, overseeing dozens of partnerships reaching tens of thousands of learners. Previously, Rebecca was Education Advisor to Governor Markell (Delaware), Chief Performance Officer at the Delaware Department of Education, and a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Rebecca received her BA in Political Science from Yale and an MBA & MA in Education from Stanford.
