Mark is responsible for sales, marketing and partnerships at Studycat. He drives strategy from Studycat's HQ in Tainan, Taiwan. Mark develops Studycat's international strategic partnerships and networks. He is a frequent speaker and edtech conferences around the world. Mark is recognised as a pioneer and thought leader in game-based language learning. Mark's twenty-year teaching career began in Taiwan in 1994 at the Sesame Street Group. In 1999 Mark Co-founded Studycat with a vision to create fun and effective game-based digital learning solutions. This led to the creation of bricks and mortar schools, online virtual worlds and eventually the creation of the award-winning apps series - Fun English, Fun Spanish, and Fun Chinese. This successful series has led Studycat to connect and engage 11 million families in over 100 countries. Mark graduated from Warwick University in Philosophy & Politics in 1993. Mark's passion for education began as a teacher at the age of 23 and he has dedicated his life to game-based language learning ever since. Mark is a fluent Mandarin speaker and practitioner of TaiChi living in Tainan with his wife and two children.
