Laurie leads Ascend Learning's Global Fitness and Wellness group and oversees two businesses: National Academy of Sports Medicine and Premier Global. Laurie has led marketing and operational efforts for a number of major brands, including Disney, Teleflora, POM Wonderful, Stila Cosmetics, YogaWorks, and Forever 21. Most recently, she served as CEO of Makerwear Design. Laurie was also the Founder of Babystyle, a leading multi-channel retailer of maternity, baby and children's products. Laurie earned her MBA from The Harvard Business School and received her BA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She resides in Los Angeles, California with her two children and enjoys fitness of all kinds including golf, skiing, tennis and yoga.
