Dr. Kim Alexander grew up on a farm in Roscoe, Texas where he has been actively engaged in production agriculture since graduation from college in 1976. He has also been employed in Roscoe Collegiate ISD (RCISD) since 1988, the past 17 years as superintendent.
In 2009, RCISD became the first rural school-wide Early College and in 2012 the first rural school-wide STEM Academy in Texas, which became know as P-TECH in 2017. Since 2009, RCISD has been working with the Texas Education Agency to develop Collegiate Edu-Nation, a 501 C (3) Non-Profit, which is a P-20 System Model for Student Success that can be replicated by small & rural schools throughout Texas and the U.S. The P-20 System Model is a collaboration between K12, Higher Education & Workforce to provide alignment & support for students through completion of college degrees symbolic of college readiness, STEM workforce certifications symbolic of workforce readiness & student research to produce lifetime learners.
