Ken sits on the leading edge of Future of Learning and Future of Work. He founded AWS Educate, Amazon's global program to prepare students for cloud jobs. Innovations include: '16's Cloud Career Pathways launch, with learning pathways, micro-credentials, and a job board; '17's high school offering; and '18's "Cloud Degree." In '19, Virginia, Texas, and Louisiana governors took AWS Educate's Cloud Degree statewide at community colleges and select universities and high schools, with UK announcing the first int'l consortium. The AWS+NOVA+GMU associate's-to-bachelor's collaboration won Ed Dive's Higher Ed '19 "Partnership of the Year" award. Prior roles: VP of Marketing for e-commerce textbook provider VarsityBooks (IPO '00); SVP, Biz Dev & Marketing for One Economy; and Sprint strategic advisor. Ken was appointed to the D.C. Mayor's Technology and Innovation Inclusion Council in '14 and chaired workforce development committees '15-'20. He has a Georgetown MBA and MPP and a Cornell BA.
