Julia is a Partner at GSV Ventures. She previously was one of the first leadership hires at Coursera, joining the company one month after the company launched as their 12th employees. In Coursera's early years she led consumer monetization, including launching Specialization, the product that has driven the majority of the company's revenue. Her more recent role was as VP of Enterprise, where she started and scaled Coursera's enterprise business, growing it from 0 to over 1400 customers. Her previous experience includes managing the Google Apps for Education team, being a Program Director for Teach for America, and teaching 4th grade in East San Jose. Julia has a BA from Pomona College and an MBA and MA in education from Stanford University. She sits on board of Outlier.org, Toucan, Fairygodboss, CLI Studios, and Rocketship Public Schools.
