The Ascend Learning Assessment Sciences Unit (based in Leawood, Kansas) consists of about 70 staff who specialize in producing high quality assessments, learning and remediation products in healthcare education. Staff include scientists and professionals in the testing industry. Our digital simulation teams in NYC consist of about 40 highly trained instructional designers, animators, artists and simulation developers who produce high quality digital simulations for academic programs in health care and nursing. We are constantly expanding this digital simulation skillset to further address our customers' needs.
 I have specialized in high stakes adaptive testing at Educational Testing Service (Princeton, NJ) serving as director and principal for a subsidiary of ETS. I was also manager and senior research scientist at Pearson, LLC. My doctorate is in measurement and statistics from Rutgers University. Areas of expertise: adaptive testing, item response theory, and statistical theory.
