Gustavo Rodríguez is the co-founder and CEO of BabySparks, an education technology platform that help parents support their children in their first years of life by learning their specific development needs and providing them with a personalized development program to support those needs. Inspired by the birth of his first son, Gustavo built BabySparks to provide a simple way for caregivers to help their babies reach their full potential. 4 million families (and growing) have started the journey. Prior to BabySparks, Gustavo worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan, where he specialized in the consumer, retail and healthcare sectors. He advised clients in $20+ bn in equity capital raising and M&A transactions in these sectors. Earlier in his career, Gustavo was a management consultant with Kurt Salmon Associates and a financial analyst with Morgan Stanley. Gustavo grew up in Bogotá, Colombia. He graduated from Los Andes University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. He also received an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. He has been a passionate, competitive tennis player since he was a child and also served in the MFO, a multinational peacekeeping force in the Sinai Peninsula, during his time in the Colombian army.
