Debbie Veney leads communications and public policy at NewSchools Venture Fund. She brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, advocacy, crisis communications and media relations. She also brings a deep passion for equity in education and a belief in the transformative power of a great education. Prior experiences include senior communications roles at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Education Trust, National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, Communities In Schools, and corporate experiences at DuPont, CIGNA and United HealthCare.
