David Helene is the founder and CEO of Edquity (www.edquity.co), the first provide of emergency aid and basic insecurity technology for college students. Under his leadership, Edquity has worked with innovative partners that include some of the largest districts in the country, including the Dallas County Community College District, where Edquity has helped the district successfully support students in the wake of the largest natural disaster in Dallas' history.  He has helped the organization attract over $4MM in investment and prizes from funding partners that include ECMC Foundation, the Lumina Foundation, Strada Education Network, Omidyar Network, WGU Labs, and others. For his work at Edquity, David was named to 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30 in Social Entrepreneurship.   Prior to Edquity, David served as a co-founder of UniFi Scholars, a non-profit provider of college financial planning education for low-income high school students, where he worked with over 300 students in less than 18 months of operation. Prior to UniFi Scholars, David served as the youngest ever Chief of Staff at The Clearing House, a financial trade association and payments company representing the interests of the nation's largest commercial banks. A lifelong New Yorker, he is a graduate of Yale University.
