ONE STONE

Chad Carlson is the Director of Research and Design at the One Stone Lab School in Boise, Idaho. One Stone, a student-led and directed non-profit organization, offers an innovative, tuition-free lab school and after-school experience for high school students throughout Idaho's Treasure Valley. The organization's emphasis on student-led, design thinking, and real-world, relevant learning is central to its mission to make students better leaders and the world a better place. At One Stone, Chad has been working with the lab school program since its inception, working closely with students to design the lab school and leading several key initiatives, some of which include: designing the school's innovative Growth Transcript, developing the school's unique way-finding program, and helping guide and mentor students and coaches in their efforts to build a school that takes a fully student-driven approach to learning.
