Betsy Corcoran brings education's best ideas to life. Currently, she is executive director of editorial and special projects at ISTE, the International Society for Technology in Education. In 2011, she co-founded EdSurge, which rapidly became the leading information hub for teachers, entrepreneurs and school leaders with a commitment to edtech. As CEO of EdSurge, she led the development of an award-winning news team, a robust conference program, in-depth research and job boards. In 2019, she negotiated EdSurge's successful acquisition by ISTE. Betsy has received national recognition for her journalism. She has been a staff writer and editor for Scientific American magazine, the Washington Post and Forbes Media. She has been a Fellow in the Knight Science Journalism program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a featured commentator on television programs including NBC's "Press Here." She is a Fellow with the Pahara Institute. She has a B.A. from Georgetown University.
