Basar is a co-founder and co-CEO of the international ed-tech startup, Kunduz. He discovered his passion for education during his management consulting experience at McKinsey & Company, where he mainly took roles in the projects at the intersection of technology and public education. Prior to Kunduz, he worked on building an investment portfolio in education for a large conglomerate in Turkey, where he had a chance to see the potential of ed-tech in the test prep space for high stake exams in emerging markets. Basar grew up in an educator family in rural Turkey and holds B. Sc. in Industrial Engineering at Bogazici University in Istanbul, MBA and MA in Education at Stanford University.
