Dr. Angie Eilers is a former professor-turned-entrepreneur and Founder of UR Turn, SBC. She served as a founding member of Sophia Learning, LLC as Vice President of Academic Outcomes. After 25 years of research with institutions such as Stanford, University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin and University of Minnesota, Dr. Eilers saw a gap in the market for tools that help students and families make sense of education data--especially as the data inform eligibility for high school readiness, graduation and post-secondary eligibility. After years of getting asked to help students and families interpret their school data, Dr. Eilers launched UR Turn with support from the National Science Foundation and created a tracking app to inform and guide students to track their individual progress toward their personal education goals, and get nudged to stay on track. UR Turn is informed by research, customer demand and user experience.
