Dr. Amit Savkar, Savkar, Inc, Co-Founder, and CEO, is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Connecticut and has over 14 years of teaching experience in Mathematics. He currently holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, M.A in Education Psychology and will be completing his second Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in Measurement evaluation and assessment in 2020. In the department of Mathematics, he is the Director of Online Programs. At the University, he holds the position of Director of Quantitative Learning Center (Q-Center) and as the Faculty Director of the Innovation house Learning community. He is a recipient of multiple teaching awards, from the school, university and AAUP for his teaching innovation. His primary research interests revolve around mathematics education, equity, and pedagogical practices that brings parity, inclusion, and success in URMs.
