Alexandra started her career as a photographer and lighting designer. She studied computer programming during graduate school and fell in love with the creative and collaborative aspects of coding. Her master's thesis was Vidcode. Alexandra is proficient in JavaScript and physical computing. Vidcode has earned many accolades including the IES SBIR Phase I/II grants, Y Combinator, 1st place Startup Weekend EDU, Insite Fellowship, 4.0 Schools launch, ITP Thesis faculty pick and Maker Faire Blue Ribbons.
