Jeff Wetzler, Co-Founder of Transcend, leads a conversation on how to get innovation done at two high needs extremes: within the nation’s second largest urban market, Los Angeles, and a high-poverty rural district, Edgecombe County Public Schools in North Carolina. The panel will explore the design processes, school models, and strategies used by catalytic leaders. Panelists will include Oliver Sicat, CEO of Ednovate, a five-high school Southern California charter network launching a positive multi-generational change model, and Erin Swanson, director of the Edgecombe County Office of Innovation, who helped launch the North Phillips School of Innovation, a joint endeavor of district middle and high schools.
