According to a recent Bellwether Education study, 40% of parents would prefer to remove their children from their local public school. Most of those families have not had an affordable alternative. At the same time, technology has allowed the creation of rich, synchronous, online schools at a fraction of the cost of physical schools. This panel will showcase four startups building k12 schools, both online and blended, which meet parent demand at a fraction of traditional private school costs. The first cohorts of students would say that these schools create deeper relationships and agency than their high-priced alternatives.
