Innovating and Collaborating Across the Governance Divide

Twenty-eight years after the first charter opened its doors as a laboratory for innovation, we have a growing innovation ecosystem that includes both charters and districts. We also have a more nuanced, complex understanding of what student success entails. What are opportunities for sharing and spreading innovation throughout the ecosystem as we move towards holistic measures of success? Sujata Bhatt, Senior Fellow at Transcend, leads a conversation with four dynamic systems leaders, two district and two charter, known for innovation. Join Lindsay USD Superintendent Tom Rooney, Rowan-Salisbury Chief Strategy Officer Andrew Smith, Envision Schools CEO Gia Truong, and Rocketship CEO Preston Smith in a spirited exploration of possibilities for collaboration across the governance divide.
